OBJECTIVES

  • To understand the bench jeweller’s work in practising jewellery making and stone setting exercises

  • Module 1 – 2 days : History of jewellery and horology
  • Module 2 – 2 days : Gold and precious metals
  • Module 3 – 2 days : Coloured stones and diamonds
  • Module 4 – 2 days : Introduction to jewellery and horology products marketing
  • Module 5 – 2 days : Watch manufacturing
  • Module 6 – 2 days : Merchandising and commercial communication
  • Module 7 – 2 days : Jewellery manufacturing
  • Module 8 – 1 day : Jewellery and watches selling techniques
  • Module 9 – 1 day : Store management and operating mode
  • Module 10 – 2 days : Jewellery customer support and Watch customer support
  • Module 11 – 3 days : Technical knowledge of fabrication
  • Module 12 – 2 days : Practical work + FINAL JURY

TEACHING RESOURCES

  • Jewellery or watches workshops visits
  • Exercises at the bench to understand better the fabrication process
  • A technical training and a Marketing/sales training at the same time

TRAINING VALIDATION

  • A progress report and a final report will be produced at the end of each quarter

At the end of the session, each participant will receive a certificate after a skills assessment
